What is CACFP?
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) program that provides reimbursement for nutritious meals and help to develop positive eating habits for young children enrolled in family child care homes and centers across the nation. In Montana, the CACFP is administered by the Department of Public Health and Human Services, through non-profit sponsoring organizations such as Willow Creek Nutrition Program, Inc.

Who can participate in the Program?
Registered family child care homes serving children 12 years of age and younger are eligible to participate in the CACFP. When providing care for children with disabilities, special services are available.
Participants own children may be eligible for reimbursement for meals eaten with daycare children, if income eligibility requirements are met.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program is open to eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability. If you believe that you have been discriminated against in receiving food services, write immediately to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington DC 20250.
